I would like to of the behalf of the embassies stuff, on the behalf of the ambassador, myself personal I want to congratulate this event, Jewish cultural day, European cultural day.
The importance of the day like this is actually to emphasize the function of the culture in Jewish people life. The Jewish people have a long history and we all are aware of the ups and downs in Jewish people history. Unfortunately we knew a long periods of suffering and struggling. And the question was in these, let say, junctions, or difficult times, is how to continue to live if it is so hard. But the element of culture in arts is actually what can give us the answer why to live and survive.
Events like this, and this beautiful exhibition, is a very good example, can give us actually the meaning and, first of all the continuity of the culture that continues so many years. And also it can give as the aspect of, actually the glue that puts together the people from Subotica from Serbia and Montenegro and me from Israel. And of course the fact that this day celebrate all over Europe is another proof maybe that glue exist.
