SUBOTICA, 25TH JUNE 2004 OPEN UNIVERSITY, CONFERENCE ROOM 213 - Local Democracy Agency Subotica, as a member of the Association of Local Democracy Agencies supported by the Council of Europe, convened a one day Training seminar intended for local civil organisations, media representatives and local self-government on EU integration related communication strategies, particularly in the view of contributing to local capacity building and more effective inclusion in cross-border and euro-regional co-operation. A group of around 40 participants from local media outlets, public and NGO sector was present to exchange views and explore ways of improving communication strategies in the light of EU enlargement and the role of local governments in EU integration process.
